You are absolutely right. Modi appeals to many Hindus! Similarly Osama appeals to many Muslims as well! And Hitler appealed to Germans! There are many many more... That does not make them right in what they do.
They all employed some common tactics: - Create fear and hatred towards other communities - Position as the savior of their respective community - Be ruthless and merciless to others - Treat others as inferior beings - Try to generate a positive image to convince the naive and gullible
Can we all rise above the shackles of our own artificial boundaries and borders of religions, nations, etc.? For the sake of humanity, I sure hope so.
