Development and India
by Rashmikant Shah on Dec 25, 2007 05:59 AM

I am a Munna(modified) secularist. As long as no body interfers with my rights, I do not and if some body does then i will fight for my rights. I believe that Mr. Modi is a better secularist than Ms. Gandhi and others. I agree with general thrust of the article. I also agree with many that crimes committed by minorities have been overlooked. I see many well educated and secular Indian in agreement that there needs to be control over minorities to improve life of all in India. Muslim as a minority will not go ahead until they gave up Shariah that exploits women (50% of muslim population) and teaching by largely uneducated Mullahas that no knowledge exists outside Koran. Minority reservation or any kind of resources will not help them until they change themselves. How do I know? The smartest student in my class (highschool) was Ahmed , who on advise of his Moulvi dropped out of school because knowing anything outside Koran was sinful as he was told. Muslim writers on this page and board do not want to address this issue. My best wishes for this newyear to Modi and hope that his message of progress and education will be whole heartedly accepted by muslim community. As for he not getting Visa for USA, USA has right to decide who comes and who goes. Although VISA was given to president of theIran and other characters equall or slightly better thanHitler. So take it way you like it.
