RE:Wanton usage of the obnoxious term 'Saffron'
by Venkatram Shrinivas on Dec 24, 2007 07:34 AM

Correct version:The name Hinduism was given others who followed or forced to follow (by enforced conversions)an indoctrinated religion. Etymologists and lexicographers have taken overlooked to trace the origin of the prefix ISM. I detest the very suffix ISM,so far one's belief ia concerned. Its etymological origin in the Sanskrit word 'Asmi',which means,'I Am'.Obviously the 'Ego' of 'I Am' tends to smack of Fanatism & Bigotry. The Christians who conveniently named their own religion as Christianity, conveniently named other religions as Mohammedanism,Sikhism, Buddhism and so on. History cannot deny that, before the onslaught of Islam and the deluge of Christian Torchbearers, there was no religion in this country that was Bharatha. The inhabitants, in a general way called their Motherland,Bharatha. They called themselves only as people of Bharatha, practising Sanathana Dharma.which also encompassed all the ancient inhabitants of this subcontinent.Immortal Bharathi wrote under the Sarcastic Title 'Bharatha Jaathi' "All the people of this Great Bharatha are Bharthias Which ever God they worship, be they Chritians Mohammadians,Parsis.Even today can they point out a More Secular and a More dedicated Patriot than Bharathi?
O Lord Let's all get rid of Petti-mindedness and all type of chicaneries.
