Please see Gujarat under right perspective
by lava Sama on Dec 24, 2007 11:46 AM

Muslims have to understand that they have to change their line of thinking. They have to ensure that their members become well educated, enterpreneurial (they have been excellent in arts for centuries) and also move on with times. If a chief minister does not visit a dargah, please do not take that as a communal attitude. He is a Hindu and he follows his faith and so he wants to visit temples that is all.Mr. Modi does not use very tactful words to get your votes. He speaks plainly and very clearly.
If you see "Sachar committee" report (that every muslim wants to be implemented), it clearly states that the average muslim in Gujarat is better off than UP, Maharashtra and even Tamilnadu. The media wants you to remember Godhra 2002, because it knows it hurts your community. Look at people sleeping on various riot cases, whether it is Mumbai, delhi etc...So Godhra was an unfortunate incident. I would like the Muslim community to take the lead and work with Modi to ensure Gujarat remains the most respected state in India. I am quite sure, if you take the initiative and put forward to him, he will make it happen. My request is, don't ask favours because you follow a particular religion. Put a blueprint on the needs of education, eradication of poverty, creation of jobs for the districts of Gujarat, My sincere belief is that he will get that done for you.
