Muslims, its time to get out of the ghetto mindset...
by Demo-crazy on Dec 24, 2007 11:44 AM

The article shows a negative approach of the few Muslims the author may have met and spoken to.

By quoting extensively about their thoughts and generalizing, the author tries to paint a negative picture of what to expect from Modi in future.

I would not like a politician to visit any such religious places and create a false sense of support or otherwise for or against any group. A political leader should ideally appear neutral and be fair to all - which is a tall order to expect of any normal politicians - neither Sonia, nor Modi are of that order. But, Modi atleast is open about what he practices. Sonia and her men have always abused the trust of people - look at their silence in case of Tytler now. They do not mind speaking of justice on one hand, and instigating people to committ riots on the other.

Muslims would do well to be posive, pragmatic and take an approach of cooperation rather than fall prey to the thoughts of greedy instigators. BJP is not anti-minority. It is patently against unfair appeasement or of painting all minority as supporters of terrorism. Speaking against terrorism is not speaking against minorities. Only those minorities who feel that way, know the reasons for their guilt. If they stand against terrorism, it is easy for them to stop events like Godhra, and so, the aftermath of it.

Let people stop this blame Modi for all evils facing Gujarat or the minorities. Its time for introspection by minorities too to change their attitude.
