Communal divide does not pay
by Niranjan Gandhi on Dec 24, 2007 06:07 AM

Modi has never talked on communal lines during this election campaign whereas Congress has gone the communal way, directly & indirectly. Modi has proved that elections can be won without playing the communal card. To the contrary, Congress has divided our country by placating various communities at the cost of Hindus. They have never bothered to find out why these communities are backward - some of them send their children only to religious schools and claim that they can't get regular jobs. But Congress wants to give them "special packages" to improve their plight. They need to change their mindset.

It is clear that, since Hindus are in a majority in our country, a party can win elections solely with Hindu votes. I wish BJP realises this on a national level and continues with this strategy in future elections. Pseudo secularists be damned!
