get ur fact right. the sinhalese government relegated them to a sort of second grade citizen in late 50s. when they started protesting they were brutally murdered. only after all options are exhausted, they resorted to armed struggle in late 70s. This is what happening in Malaysia now.This is what happening in fiji. if indian government announces that all kannadigas are second class citizens what would you do? will u live as a second class citizen? or take refuge at another country or fight for ur right. all citizens are equal. if that right is challenged people can fight for it. the problem with hindus is we never fought back. when muslims invaded us, we said salam and did gulam to them. then when british took over our protest was only sporadic. thats why we are a soft state now. learn from the Jews. they were massacred muslims and christians and later by germans. now they are surrounded by enemies but still they fight back holding their identity and religion aloft.
