Dear Mr PRASAD ANL dont be ridiulous. The North and East of Sri Lankan has always been ancient historical Tamil country. Tamil have always lived there and ruled them selves and this is recorded history. The waw no country called Sri Lanka until the British united the Tamil and Sinhla speaking parts of the country in 1833 and called it Ceylon. The present crisis is mainly due to their fault, as when they left, they handed the Tamil population to the Sinhlas on platter withour any adequate protection. Succesive Sinhala government since independence have bee discriminating the Tamil population . thier aim is to chase away the Tamil or forcibly assimilate them. The Eelam Tamils are as much as indegenous ot the land as the Sinhalese are. Tehir culture customs food habbits and language is different from the Tamil Nadu Tamils. The cry for independence only came after al other peaceful mehtds failled and were met with brutal violence. Their asking for what is thiers and not otherpeoples land an dthey are not interested in greater Tamil Nadu as stated earlier tehy are different inmany way to the SOuth Indian Tamils it is like the Geramsn and Austrians and the Swill. Please dont try to bring in ridculous suggestions like Tamils are goingo ask for parts of Mubai Delhi Karnataka, these are not thoer lands and have they ever asked for these lands. Themn I can state NOrth Indian living in the SOuth are asking for parts of South India as theirs. You are just trying to confuse the issue
