Taslima Nasreen is not an extremist. Her book contains criticism of the treatment of Hindus in Bangladesh and criticism of Sharia law. Her writings are similar to articles and books that criticise Manusmriti and Hindu religious texts. Such articles and books number in the thousands. Criticism of religious texts should be completely acceptable in a democracy.
