Corruption spawns & thrives where there are excessive controls & gross inequalities are perpetuated. Therefore to sustain democracy in India thru the 21st century: (1) Redistribution of the national wealth has to become truly equitable. (2) Proliferation of education and vocational training in comtemporary skills are required in all disciplines including social sciences, and agriculture, for ensuring sustained growth of all sectors of the socio-economy strata. (3) Lastly, accountability in the present system of governance needs to be strengthened by removal of job security at all levels be it in the executive, legislature or the judiciary !!
