Understanding 'Unity in Diversity'
by Anand Raghavan on Dec 19, 2007 09:22 AM

I don't know why so much hatred is being exchanged in rediff forums. Any discussion on any topic, it finally ends up in division across north-south, language, race, colour and what not. I could clearly see India as a country has failed in making its people understand and appreciate different cultures, their uniqueness and essentially what we all boast of India, 'Unity in Diversity'. And the leaders have not helped, in fact they've kindled this divisive fire to warm themselves up. They keep reminding people about their divisions lest people forget them!!! We defnitely need a curriculum or even a crash course of 'Understanding India'.
After reading such exchanges, I feel we don't have any right to talk about racial discrimnation by the western countries.
