RE:BJP will not oppose it?
by Indian Indian on Dec 20, 2007 12:41 PM

I am not a supporter of the Left either; and, I too feel that they are opposing the deal because they have understood it, and they are very clear about it. But, I am not sure why you are saying that BJP has not understood it. At every forum, the relevant BJP person has been explaining the problems with this deal, point by point, in the same way as the Left. In case you have noticed that in some fora, the details were not mentioned, it is because, it is not practical to go on repeating the same thing again and again in EACH AND EVERY PLACE. (In fact, you can see the same thing with the Left. Another example, I have gone through the text and details of the deal and the Hyde Act and I have written in many places about the humiliating conditions and other problems. But, I can't again write it here, for want of space, etc. Nowadays, not many people keep talking about the details, because, by now, all the important parties know the respective positions. So, from now, there is no question of 'discussing' and 'enlisting support' etc. It is only the muscle power from now on. That is why, when the Left got weak in Nandigram, Sonia/Congress just at that time extracted a concession for starting the talks with IAEA. And, Congress is just looking for some other blackmailing point, when at the right time, it thinks it can strike the Left and sign the deal in full, TO HELL WITH INDIA'S SOVEREIGNTY)
