MP Prakash has demonstrated on previous occassions that he is a weak personality who lacks conviction. It was evident very recently, when even after making up (more or less) his mind to quit, he call Devegowda still his leader. This put many of his followers into quandary and some eventually decided to stay back in JD-S.
At one time, MP Prakash supported JD-S decision of not handing over power to BJP - he was probably thinking Devegowda will revive the relationship with Congress and make him the CM. When Congress paid back Devegowda in his own coin (after making him withdraw support to BJP), MP Prakash had limited options to stay in power.
Even today, his words were, to the extent possible we want to practice value based politics! That is, to the extent it suits us, we will follow value based politics!!!
Mahima Patel, Sankeshwar atleast demonstrated the courage of conviction to come out firmly - one chose to start his own party, the other went (back) to BJP.
On the other hand, MP Prakash has no ideology - he wants to go where the grass will be more green for him and his partners.
JD-S(hameless) will have to go down - if the Karnataka voter shows no mercy (Devegowda and Kumaraswamy and company does not deserve any mercy!). It would be interesting whether MP Prakash will regain respect or not!
