When you don't care about your country or you don't have much to lose then you don't have to worry about a powerful potential adversary. On the otherhand if you are in a land of almost infinite potential that is poised to lead the world in a couple of decades then you really don't want it to be blasted back and take us behind on time.
I would really not want more missiles pointed at us any more than there are now.
