I read one of the messages that says Yoga, Meditation should be recommended in schools and something about Christians and Muslims should also adopt it. Something to do about anger management. No problem there? I am Christian and my children go to a private school run by Gujarati's where Yoga is part of the curriculum. Yet, when my children report incidents that happen in school I wonder what is wrong with teachers today. My daughter a natural runner lost in the heats, when she told the teacher that while running two girl deliberately tripped her the teacher dismissed it, saying that's ok. When my son heard her narrating the incident to me, he mentioned the same thing happened to him the last year and the teacher told him that he should have also done the same! I can give you a hundred other instances. I wonder if bringing up these issues with the teachers will prove deterimental to my children. Because what bothers me is not that they were not selected, but the differences in what I teach them at home and how over-worked and indifferent teachers at school react to them.
