All exit polls so far conducted in India could never give a correct prognosis of results. If they come somewhere near they would say yes we have stated and given a percentage of error, if they fail they would say there was an undercurrent which they could not gauge. If all that they can do is to get some average figures through their psephology then there is no need to create such hype about exit polls. Sometimes it is disturbing and might influence the poll process itself.Inspite of the courts restrictions to stop this unpredictable predictions they have got the licence to go for exit polls. this is nothing but hoodwinking the public in the name of scientific predicitons. Predictions or psephology are not sciences and cannot be based on facts but assumptions. All that is being done in the name of psephology is nothing but controlling the media and influencing the public to vote for the choices of their political inclinations or prefernces. Long live India and long live freedom of press. Let these controllers of media know that their influence is limited and they cannot write on the walls all the time. It is time they read between the lines than the gullible public.
