SULKING SATRAP
by Krish Koundy on Dec 11, 2007 03:46 PM

In 1995, When Sankar Singh Vagela split the party and snatched power from Keshubhai Patel, it was Narendra Modi who reinstated him with his master organizational skills. Narendra Modi never aspired to replace him. There after for several years Modi focussed on national politics seving the party in various states.

When Earth Quake stuck Kutcch in 2001, Keshubhai was the chief minister. He didnt know what to do and completely failed to act on time. BJP quickly replaced him with Narendra Modi. Even his opponents and Christian missionaries agree that disaster management under the leadership of Modi was was best in the world. Keshubhai than retreated to the USA to cool his heals. In the last several years he tried to take favours for his cronies from Modi. Modi opposes nepotism and corruption and hence didnt yield. All this rebellion is simply because of this reason. These chaps dont work and dont let others also work!
