Mr.Nagarajan, Dont live in a fool's paradise. From the time men stepped into this earth, there has always been 'I' and 'You', 'We' and 'They'. Instead of using these terms, today it is named after religions, thats it. Anyway when the constitution of india says it is secular. It means clearly there is no place for any religion in the official parlance. Tell me which government in this country for the past 60 years has followed it. Why the Haj subsidy, why the uncontrolled influx of funds for the churches without any taxation, why separate laws to govern the hindu temples but a free hand for the madrasas, mosques and the churches. As long as this discrepcancy lies in the governing bodies of india, till then communalism will continue to grow and not die. The easiest and straight forward way to deal with communalism is staring right in the face i.e., Treat all of them equal and let the government not interfere in the personal affairs of individuals(religion) and everything will be alright. The moment the government provides a dole for one segment, the other segment is perfectly right in asking the same for themselves, and when the government doesnt provide it, the segment that has lost out from the government will work hard to get it either hook or crook.
