I think all this problem of religeous intolerance has been created by our politicians to divert our attention from main issues of roti, kapra aur makan. We have not heard any politician, whether it is from Congress or BJP or from CPI M talking on these most important issues which affect our lives maximum. It is high time that media should take up these basic issues. I still see hundreds of children, begging on the streets of Delhi, Mumbai and other places. India has assured the world that in near future, it will provide toilets for every individual. The way the things are, I do not see any hope. Corruption, in our country probably hurts the common man maximum. One can not expect to get his dues, unless he attaches some reserve bank document. In my opinion, the most important problem for a common man in the country is not the protection of his religeous identity but getting two times meals, roof on his head, something to cover his body and after that proper education for his children, security for him, his family and his property. Media should make sure that politicians do not tread on the autonomy of limited number of good institutions left in this country. Media should should work out a priority for the common Indian and try to project requirements concerning that priority.
