RE:long live modi

OK Lesson Time

1) Being secular means hating Modi; doesn't mean loving congress or CPM who are just as cynical at exploting religion for power.

2) It doesn't mean loving terrorists or sympathising with them - it means hating a confirmed terrorist fully but making sure that the question of who is a terrorist and who is not is settled on evidence and by law, not automatically on the basis of religion or anything else

3) It doesn't mean being ashamed of Gujarat and Bombay riots and being indifferent to Sikh riots . It means being horrified by any state sponsored riot, regardless of the religion of the people affected.

4) Being secular means hating all religious fanatacism. It means being equally opposed to Islamic or Hindu repression of free speech (Satanic Verses and vandalism of Hussein's paintings)

5) It means caring for humanity more than religious identity - caring for the loss of innocent human life more than keeping score of how many muslims vs hindu dead.

I could go on but I think this is enough to get people thinking - if anyone is willing to approach with an open mind
