There are still quite a few intelligent persons in India. Reservations do not matter to them. And only such persons are absorbed abroad including in the US and surely they are the ones who are helping the foreign economies and development.
So you can't generalize that entire India is backward. Only that the reservation policy there is wrong because it is based on castes instead of the economic backwardness.
