I dont think it will give large economic benifits over ecological disasters. The complete coral sea and pearl producing gulf will be disturbed upto such an extent that it will be diminished. Coral sea is a very delicate ecological system and whole world is trying to preserve it. Moreover natural currents will get disturbed resulting in changes in weather. Tsunami will have lethal effects on larger area of TN, Kerala.
