Each year, during the Summer months, hundreds of people die of heat, monsoon and floods kills a few more, winter piles its tally. The worst evil in this world is poverty, and the worst torture is to force some one to starve to death. In our country 22% live below poverty line, and hundreds die every year out of poverty. Remember mango kernels and grass. 20 years ago 45% were below the BPL, There weren%u2019t so many News Channels, Industries and Enterprises etc. Who has contributed most to this growth, undoubtedly only one name comes to my mind, our Prime Minister Dr. Man Mohan Singh. Boldly did he usher in the era of Liberalization. Yes, Economic Growth has not reached every corner of this country, but it has made an impact on each one of us directly or indirectly. Y%u2019day I saw Mr. Mukherjee, President CITU arguing that Nuclear Power is only 3% of the Total Power Generated and even after the Nuke Deal it may go up to a maximum of 10% and so it is not worth enough to have a such a deal which gives not much and forces a friendly relationship with the US. Mr. Mukherjee, do you know what impact the 10% Nuclear Power can have on the country%u2019s economy. Ask the people of UP%u2019s cities which witness the worst power cuts (up to 18 hrs a day) or its villages where light has still not reached. What to say of the Left, SEZ at Nandigram or TATA Motors at Singur, is somehow different from SEZ%u2019s elsewhere, PSU disinvestment, FDI in Insurance Sector, Pension and Labor Reforms etc... Etc.
