I completely agree with what the CEC says. It should have powers to eliminate parties applying certain criteria. In our system, the recent trend of coalition Governance is the gift of such parties. It is an utter injustice. Even though not in a majority, congress has its government running with the crutches of the communists and other small parties. Such political coalition should also be banned. The parties which are able to contest elections from ALL the constituencies in India should only be considered. Others would be automatically eliminated. After this happens, a single party achieving a MAJORITY of seats (not necessarily 2/3rd) should alone be allowed to form a government and other elected constituents should sit in the opposition.
