well done Buddha. But hindu religion also had sati etc.but the people thougts have progressed. Similary the other faiths haveee to adpot aas per the circumstances.
The indian kings had several wives since they had to offsprings to carry on and were not sure whether they would come back alivee from the battle ground.....but it is not followed in the current period.
Similarly Joan of ARC and some other instances the christian were burnt, but the people thought have progressed, We expect all religions to progress rather than blindly follow what has been written several centuries ago.
