They deliberately put low intensity explosives, and didn't trigger all the explosives -- Their aim was to create a communal tension and get the Hindus in the old city killed. They almost succeeded. The immediate reaction of those namaz doing ppl was to go and burn down shops belonging to hindus, trynig to put a petrol bunk on fire -- if the police hadn't acted promptly and decisively a lot more Hindu lives would've been lost. (Ofcourse those police officers were transferred or suspended for doing their duty.. what else can you expect from a "secular" government? You talk about 1992. In the early 80s, the only major news about Hyderabad that I can remember is the communal riots, till TDP came to power in 1984. Again in 1989 when the "secular" government came to power, they started again. Forget the riots in 1989-90? If you are brought up in the Old city, either your name is incorrect, or you are lucky to be alive!
