Well, if Left has serious 'misgivings' about Chinese, why are they lobbying for the Chinese whether in infra projects or for cos like Huawei? By scuttling of the nuclear deal who's the greatest beneficiary other than China & Pakistan? I may not know much about politics, but I know for sure that any deal which makes China & Pakistan unhappy is surely in India's benefit. It doesn't take rocket science to figure this. Whoever gave these figures to Praful about the 1600 kg of plutonium for weapons? As it is we are getting into the nuclear deal to secure fuel supplies for ourselves. India has not had a great history of nuclear power because of our useless nuclear scientists & the obsolete Soviet era power plants. In any case, we can never get into an arms race with China, we just need to have sufficient to protect ourselves with a country who has repeatedly in the past tried to undermine Indian security. I wish India also gets a dose of McCarthyism where people like Praful are put behind bars for their Communist leanings.
