If you think carefully about this deal we have several advantages than disadvantages. 1. The power crisis in India is the main reason for agricultural and economic set back. Please understand that Rural India gets only 3-4hrs power/day. 2. small and medium scale industry can operate only 1-2 shifts in a day because of power problem. 3. domestic power price is increaseing due to less production. 4. India has several inherent problems to maximize hydro electricity projects. In the scenerio which I mentioned can we have an alternative to ease the demand supply??? Yes that is nuclear power. Please think that we are developing country and has limited access to nuclear technology that the west has. (I dont think that Indian thorium technology is so advanced to operationalize immediatly to meet the crisis and ofcourse we need to continue our research on that even after the deal) In this scenerio it is better for India to be in cooperation with bigwigs like US and NSG. I do not know why aome of the Indian politicians do not understand this, When our Scientists them self are happy with the present for of the deal. It is known fact that Communists never like growth of India. They are financed by Chinese to put obstacles in the growth of India. I like BJP for several reasons but I hate them for this deal opposing. I dont like Manmohan singh for several reasons but I appreciate his sincere effort for this deal which can make things better for India in future.
