Hun, From where did you get this conclusion that our defence capabilities are being compromised by this deal.We donot have enough uranium to run our existing nuclear reactors for more then 10 years now. And you can not make bombs without uranium. The provision in the deal is very clear; India will have two seperate establishments- one for energy and one for nuclear defence. The energy establishments will be under supervision from atomic agency while the defence will not be under any supervision. If we get the uranium for our energy need from outside, we will be saving our own uranium for making bombs. If we not go for deal, whatever small amount of uranium we have will go to running the existing reactors. and in the changing scenario of world politics, after recognising India as an atomic capable country, the next step of USA will be to denuclearise Pakistan like they did it with north korea and Iran. They have already declared Pakistan as most dangerous state and compelled them to put their most renowned scientist Dr. Kadir under house arrest. The China and Pakistan know it well, so making all efforts to nuke this deal. They are right on their part, but are our commis are right in their decision to break the deal? They should think for a nuclear capable India, and this apply to BJP also.
