I think face is saved for the UPA and CPM. The compromise to letting the deal through is inadvertantly offered by rediff. Sen will be slaughtered; CPM will get that in return to letting the deal through. You get one - I get one. So both win in the eyes of public. Sen episode will overshadow the N-deal stand-off and UPA will give CPM a loly pop i.e. conolation win.
