The leftists are just threatening but they do not have the courage to withdraw support. Its a natural way of reacting to anything American for them. This is a reflex action. They dont need to think. Anyways, the issue is that the deal is signed and there is no turning back. Another important issue is that we have taken anti America position till 1992 and see what happened to the economy in those 45 years. Since 1992 we have changed allies and in those 15 years we have gone from a developing country to a world economic power status. Its an undeniable fact that America is the most powerful nation and it will always dictate terms. Its better for us to try and get the best possible deal rather than not getting anything. Neuclear power is something which is the need of the hour. India will be the most powerful producer of goods and services if the power problem is taken care of. Nuclear energy is cheap and clean and can change the industry in India drastically.
