PKl. Afternoon, 1.20pm, Aug. 16th , Thursday, 2007. It seemas our honourable members of lok sabha & Rajya-Sabha believe that if they go by the correct procedure of Rules to raising their criticism of matters like the Nuclear Agreement , that produces genuine apprehensions to members owning different political standpoints, the ruling elite may smugly take lightly what critics think are steps in the directions contrary to the National Interest.So the Angst of our presiding officers of Parliamentary Houses. It ought to be possible that as and when such highly volatile matters are on the floor the presiding officers should immediately arrange defusing by small consultations amongst the contesting groups and as far as possible the ugly scenes in the Houses are not allowed to create the impression that our honourable Parliamentarians lack elemenmtary courtesies of reasonable disputation ,an essential need for informed debates.Country is saved the sorry spectacle of repeated adjournments , waste of costly public time , and loss to the honour and reputation of our Sovereign Parliament , the very fount of republican democracy.All lovers of rule of law and democratic run of parliament should give thoughts how to evolve modes of discussing thread-bare all implications of Issues that appear to evoke so much passion and reactions inside these houses and in country at large. It is incumbent that all sane public -opnion-makers join hands to mend this rot.D. Goel
