Well, I have no idea about the BBC news. I am a native of Kerala, and had wanted to donate money to the Tsunami victims. But, it became known that the money is not reaching victims. The CM took the stand that he is not answerable to anyone regarding this. Though the money was collected in the name of "Tsunami fund", later it was merged with CM's relief fund. It is OK, to divert the money if there is surplus amount after distributing among the victims. But, here, that is not the case. Still, there are people living in temporary houses, when the govt. says they have helped all the needy. So, I didn't give money to the CM's fund; instead I gave it to some one, who was under treatment for cancer.
