river linking project
by gulshan dhariwal on Aug 06, 2007 07:00 AM

why isn't the government considering the inter-linking of rivers? water would be available to most parts of india. i don't think its an important financial decision to make as it will bring tremendous long term gains (it's a win-win situation).

millions get displaced and millions of rupees get drained away.. way can't the government consider this option? it will create huge employment opportunities, improve agricultural produce, control climatic change, help humanity,
trade and commerce, to name a few.

this can only happen if "government" focuses more on the country than being selfish and greedy. but of course, they will also get black money by approving this project.

indian problems are becoming more and more complex and that has to be taken care of immediately.
