The mother has each and every reason to grieve, but in the process she can not ignore the fact that he was an enemy of Humanitarianism. He might have sacrificed his life for the holy cause of JIHAD ( according to a hardliner's interpretation) and the HOOR might be waiting for him in JANNAT, but he was a terrorist.
Similarly I can recall a guy ( not able to recall his name) student of Civil Engineering at R.E.C. Calicut (now NIT) during 1991-95, was also a hard liner. He would praise and preach ISlam all the time and used to clap and celebrate the Pak Cricket team's win over India.
I will really not be surprised if that well educated Civil Engineer is also found (in future) in any of such activity.
