Nawaz Sharif on Kargil
by bkchatterjee on Aug 03, 2007 12:13 AM

PM is the chief executive of the country & if he did not have complete information about Mussaraf's plan then he could be eithe not telling the whole truth or a poor administrator.
However, one more thing should be discussed if any nation- of varous religious denominations- could seriously keep religion & politics absolutely separate & independent. It becomes more difficult with a predominantly Slamic state.
Having worked in a relatively liberal Middle Eastern country for several years, I gathered that Islam does suggest to discuss & find solution to their "Shiyasi" issues in Masjid. If it is true, it is difficult to imagine how politics & religion could be kept seperate. Mind you, Islam is a major force in today's world.
