Main Sharif Banna Chhata Hoon
by Cutlet Gravy on Aug 02, 2007 08:15 PM

Too late my Latif ...err ... Sharif,

- never wanted to let down Atal Bihari Vajpayee
- had "great regards" for him
- had to cut a "sorry figure"
- "stabbed in the back" by Pervez Musharraf
- "I was never in favour of a war with India"

Why all this tamasha now, 8 years later?

Why did he not say all this to Clinton after the Kargil war was lost by them, in July 1999?

After all he did go all the way to US to broker a deal for himself, didn't he?

Who will believe him now!!!

The Pakistan Government's duplicity is amply evident.

-- it supported the US against terrorism on one border, and
-- it continued to fuel terrorism on the other J&K (Jammu & Kashmir)border.

Over the years nearly five hundred thousand Kashmiri Pandits (Hindus) have been made to leave the land of their birth and live like refugees in various parts of India. Since 1948 over twenty thousand civilians have lost their lives in J&K because of the Muslim fundamentalists of Pakistan.

During President Clinton's State visit to India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the then Indian Prime Minister had pointed out that religious terrorists -- which Islamabad refered to as freedom fighters -- had been shamelessly intruding Indian territory for the past 54 years (now sixty).

Prime Minister Vajpayee had even said that islamic terrorism would get out-of-hand and engulf the world, but President Clinton preferred to put this crucial issue on the back-burner.
