Who is to blame?
by Saiprasad ramanarayan on Aug 03, 2007 04:22 AM

Almost every Indian has committed one sort of crime or another with the exception of probably a select few who refuse to pay or accept bribes. We are corrupt people and the system we grow up in has a lot of flaws that we need to rectify. Sanjay Dutts is a classic case of ignorance from a rich individual. The fact is that most Indians think that just being rich and famous will help them get their way with law. We cannot blame them because otherwise our system does work that way. If you want your passport you have to bribe the policeman even if you have given the right address. You have to bribe the RTO officer to get your drivers license. How many people have tried not giving bribes and got their work done? We have to increase awareness and revamp our current system.
