Agree Mr. Shenoy.. but...
by prasoon chaudhary on Aug 03, 2007 05:44 PM

First of all, about the last three paragraphs of this article, for which you've got so much applause in this discussion board:

Para 1 - ...but after all this it is utter nonsense to claim that this man is any kind of a role model for youth
- Mr Shenoy, if a person after using so much drugs and all, gives up all bad habits, certainly it's a point to note on. And as far as role model is concerned, yes he is the role model for those youth who are wasting their life with drugs. Remember, Gandhiji said it's bad to steal/drink only after stealing and drinking himself.

Para 2 - ...did you see any channel interviewing anyone who had lost a friend or relative in the Bombay Serial Blasts?
- Yes I saw, and it was so pathetic to ask a relative 'How are you feeling?' by all news reporters. Remember, there are people who are eager for news that you cited in your statement, and those who don't like this news, always have option to change channel. This is India; here KANK and Matrix both are hit, because each was made for separate class.

Para 3 - ...the twin messages that actions have consequences and that nobody is above the law.
- Wrong Mr Shenoy, all politicians are above the law. I can remember a song from Mujrim - 'pakda gaya wo chor hai..jo bach gaya wo sayaana hai..'

Now regarding the verdict, verdict is fine no doubt, but for what?

Why a person get sentence? For three reasons:

So that, example is set and no one will dare to do the same - well if verdict comes
