Whats written in this article is very true. I work for one of India's top IT firms in Bangalore. We should work 9.5 hours a day. Ok, I do know that people work 12 hours in some cases. But I am talking about IT companies in Bangalore.
What do IT companies in Bangalore do ? Provide IT services to companies in US? If an American says, you guys work nights ... then thats final. No second word, just follow what yankees say. In some shape or form, we are slaves to US and UK. If they don't give projects, we are doomed. Why can't the big heads in this field so something indiginous.
Talking abt social life in Bangalore. Theres none. We do get some time over the weekend and if u r in Call centre, then forget about weekend as well. Even business development guys, have to work till 3 AM or 4 AM, calling US and getting projects.
No wonder the social life are affected and marriage ends up in divorce. Sad but true !!
