india would have suffered the same fate as that of persia and hindus would have become the new parsees,the british realised this in 1757 and saved india from the hundreds of years of rule of muslim yoke and the horrible future for india as an islamic republic.with a population of 150 million at that time,the islamic caliphate would have prevailed over the indian sub-continent as well and another ancient civilisation would have bitten the dust since we all know how violent these moslems can be and the ummah would have gained more strength,sure the british also indulged in thier own evangelical and proselytising process but it was no where near as bad and violent as islam moreover the christian missianries are largely peaceful organisations and have done a lot for the civil society of india and yes if it werent for them you and I probably wouldnt be typing away in their language,so think before you type something like "sucking up to your english masters" nobody does that but you should be mature and magnanimous about giving credit where it is due and as far as "sucking upto the arab masters" is concerned you really are a martian arent you.
