Strange SC policy
by amit mishra on Apr 23, 2007 06:35 PM

SC should let the Government do its work. If it had allowed Congress to proceed we would have been living in peace. Just like TN, we would have had 96% reserved seats. This way we would have stopped all so called upper castes from basic education. besides, this will also solve the problem of reservation in private jobs. As only 4% of the output from professional colleges would be general students, private companies would be forced to recruit from reserved students only.
Infact the same should now be applicable for primary education. we should make a rule that only 5% of school's students can be general category. This way Arjun singh can increase the illiteracy rate among the general students and then his son can ask for their votes telling that he will reduce the reservation rate to 90% and hence offer higher number of seats to the illiterates.
By the way, Arjun Singh must have thought of reserving seats at IIM's for illiterates as well. That would have provided further career opportunities to illiterates who dint want to study in their childhood and are now unfairly at a disadvantage to those children, who studied hard through their childhood
