Such work fetches a pittance in India. Average productivity in US is 20 times higer, and productivity as you know is directly linked to per capita energy consumption. And energy equations in Middle-East and blocking of India from cheap oil access by creating Paksitan is what geo-politics has been all about. In the current era the equations are extending beyond oil-equations to civil nuclear-energy equations. In this context it makes eminent sense for India-US and other nations to work together. But the old cold-war hangovers in US are not over yet. One hopes that good sense, self interest and political wisdom will prevail.
