When they accept reservation it does not mean that they have to accept 'lower castes'. Reservation is given to some groups of the indian society as a compensation to their suppression over thousands of yrs. BTW, what's CASTE???
I strongly believe many peole in India do not really know what's Caste. I mean caste definition.
In my openion, primitive tribes(very very less evolved/less educated people) in India thousnads of yrs back, created a societal system for division of labour. I guess some people voluntarily or thru force or thru lottery agreed to do some lower works( In fact there is nothing like lower work/higher work, work is worship).
Caste is different class is different. Caste system created rich people(if u see just 70/80 yrs back rich means lands/bullock carts, nothing else). How some people in India had got more land?. Caste created poor people. So Oppression was carried out by caste. Weakness was created by caste. 10% people benefitted by caste.
In my openion, so long as caste is practised in India(especially rural India, caste beast is very strong), reservation should continue, unless those who take it voluntarily say that, they do no need any more, Govt sould provide it. Who knows, in future those who take reservation may become very strong and proudly called as sc/st/bc?
who knows, those upper caste people may need reservation in future??
