I understand that in situation like this government should help the people in facilitating travel like getting passports, preferences in getting tickets or other logistical issues. But it is beyond by understanding that why should government pay for travel for this Prof's kin. In some cases people don;t have money to travel but in this case I believe that his kins may be able to afford their own travel arrangements. But this is my own belief.
BTW Prof wanted to be buried in US and his parents never travelled to US and since Prof is 51 years old, his parents may be too old and may not have enough money on their own to trave.
