RIP
by Shyam Shivadas on Apr 19, 2007 11:41 AM

As Indians we are saddened by the unnecessary death of Mr.Loganathan.

Why are we Indians not similarly appalled by the deaths in Iraq due to the invasion by the united states.

Between 50 and a 100 people die everyday. Don't they all have families? Are they too not human beings with similar feelings as us?

Wherever the united states has put their foot in, they have created misery and chaos. I repeat wherever. The numbers killed are beyond belief. The land is ravaged. The people killed or tortured. And in the aftermath, the unexploded mines and bombs are a cruel reminder by the us military that they should not be forgotten.

Whenever an american in the united states is killed by a foreigner, the papers are drowned with sob stories of the tragedy befalling a true and loyal citizen of the usa.

Once again, may the unneccessary deaths of an Indian teacher & student lead to better gun control and a reminder to the usa of the fact that violence begets violence.
