While there may have been issues in bringing the body to India, bottom line was the prof's wish to be buried in the US. Also, a couple of years back, we had executives from a software company detained in Indonesia and the Indian govt. intervened for their release - the govt. has, needless to say, been supportive. if the family could get their passports and US visas in a day, I am sure the govt. could have intervened for the body to be brought into India - would you not agree
