You should realize that the military-industrial complex(Pres Eisenhower's words)still runs the country of US. Bush, Cheney & company are in the pockets of major Oil cos, Halliburton, Raytheon, Northrup Grumman etc & they decide the foreign policy of the country since even senators are in their pockets. That is why US is at peace only when there is some war is going on in the world.
