Being a professor in civil engineering he would have provided opportunities for many Grad students from India, which would have indirectly contributed to the motherland which is more than your direct contribution.
You really don%u2019t know the efforts taken by NRIs to contribute to their motherland. Every Indian working in US makes an effort to bring business to India. Even though I live abroad I make every effort to provide business links / opportunity to my friends living in India. In spite of all these efforts, NRIs are treated like traitors.
My deepest condolences to Prof. Loganathan's family and I ask people like you to refrain from making such comments without knowing the facts.
