Your observation are agreeable. Water requirement will be there and it will be substantial. Consider this > IOC Gujrat Refinery and IPCL Baroda Petrochemical unit ( Now Reliance) Both Lift water which should be available to Baroda City. Baroda City gets Corporation water for 30 minutes only.
But Govt has done nothing to limit water consumption of these two massive units. Both units could have gone for water conservation and improved water utilization schemes. I am sure same is the situation at many other places in India. I think we have to wake up at City level and make these units work at part with world standards as Govt of India or State Govt is doing nothing. We have no Benchmarks limiting their water consumption.
